Rabbi Drew Kaplan is the current rabbi and director for Southern California Jewish Student Services (SoCalJSS) and Southern California Jewish Young Adult Enrichment (SoCalJYAE), both initiatives of Beth El Synagogue.

Through SoCalJSS, he also serves as the resident rabbi for Beach Hillel. Rabbi Drew graduated rabbinical school from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah in June 2009. Rabbi Drew received his BA in Jewish Studies from Indiana University in December 2003. Originally from Central Ohio, Rabbi Drew earned his BA in Jewish Studies from Indiana University.

He has published a few articles on the topic of sleep in Jewish thought. He was a Clal Rabbis Without Borders fellow in 2011-2012. He is a member of the Board of Rabbis of Southern California, the Orange County Board of Rabbis, and the International Rabbinic Fellowship.
