As a Rosh Yeshiva, educator, community activist Rav Shmuel has been a long-time friend of JFX and Shabbat Tent.  

Famous for his all night learning sessions Friday nights at the Festival, Rav Shmuel creates a learning space that is full of intellectual inquiry, using traditional Torah commentary and sources along with current science, literature, social theory as a framework for his classes.

Musician, singer and song-writer, Torah scholar, wise parent and advocate for vulnerable children of religious Jewish families, Rav Shmuel is one-of-a-kind presenter.
